A J in a step cut may show more tint than a round for example, also no need for VVS if you can find a well cut VS clarity. The F VS looks promising, I would ask the good folk at JA to go through your selections with you and advise you as to suitability, if it is eyeclean etc.

This is what happens to a Ferrari when you paint it beige!
Ask if you can get an ASET images as they are considered to be more useful for fancy shapes.Date: 4/10/2008 11:55:13 AM

This is the response to the same question from one of the sales persons at JA:
The 'J' VVS2 is the better choice because it has no inclusions underneath the table, making it 100% eye clean. I will, however, get idealscopes for both diamonds.
HMmmm decisions decisions!

At first glance, I like the .8 better, but this may be irresponsible of me to say.
Again you need photographs and an ASET image, the numbers don''t tell you much about EC''s, so ask Mark if he can get those for you.

Overkill on clarity with VVS. Also, without a real picture of the actual stone and the crown height information, there''s now way to tell if one is better than the other.
