Which of these 2 Yellow Engagement Rings Should I Buy?

I love a girl.

Its time to buy a rock.

She hates traditional platinum set engagement rings. All her friends have them and she likes to be different. She does however like yellow gold, so I'm going with a more nontraditional diamond engagement ring set in yellow gold.

I'm in love with the work of McTeigue & McClelland, http://mc2jewels.com/... I have narrowed it down between two of their models from their Flora collection, the simply elegant Bella Flora , or the more elaborate but not too gaudy Classic Flora.

Please vote your replies, I need the help.

A bit about her that might help you vote. Generally speaking, she is super fashion forward but hates cloths/jewellery that look expensive for the sake of being expensive but really appreciates high-end quality work. For example, she has no problem dropping $1000 on a dress she loves the cut and material of but would never buy a Gucci dress covered in Gs just so people would know its Gucci and costs a lot of money. That is part of the reason she hates gaudy diamond and platinum engagement rings, she feels some people buy them more as status symbols and not because they like or appreciate the work.

Your fiance-to-be sounds very classy. I vote for the classic as it has a touch more detail which I think really adds to the solitare.

I love that now white gold/platinum seems to be the "traditional" style instead of yellow gold

Wow, this is my first post. This is because I LOVE McTeigue and McClelland. From your little anecdote, I think I feel similarly about fashion and jewelry as your special lady. I dislike "bling", but love quality items. I think I would pick the Classic rather than the Bella. The Classic has a lot of extra touches that really demonstrate how beautiful Mc2 pieces are. They are both beautiful, but I vote for Bella, I think it's a bit less fussy than the classic. Also I think the Bella allows for more freedom in choosing a wedding band so she can have her bit of a say in the set later too. You sound very thoughtful in taking so much consideration into all the details

Agreed. I am feeling the classic- living thebpetal work and little hint of extra sparkle with the stones sprinkled amongst the petals.
