Which jewellers set customers diamonds?

Hi just thought to ask which jewellers might be really good to use for a custom ring design. Center stone would be likely to be a 0.3-0.5ct FCD.

The difficulty is they would be comfortable working via distance (mail), emails, phonecalls and photos. I would prefer someone with very high levels of workmanship, but would like to keep the budget within around 3-4K + or - as a ballpark (no idea how much customs run into).

Tastes run from simpler settings to nice touches like McTigue and McClelland, but not so much the vintage scrollwork kind of look.

or my Local Jeweler does more modern designs http://www.michaelscreative.com/ they did an awesome job on my asscher semi bezel solitaire.

There are others like Brian Gavin as well that I have worked with in the past, and Michael E at Gemshoppe.com and I definitely loved working with Sally at Hearts of Water Etsy (in Thailand) these are just a few that comes to mind quickly that I have had experiences with.

I have worked with Whiteflash on several occasions in the past, but somewhere I read that they no longer accept outside stones? (you may need to call to verify?)
