Looking at almost the same price, both near $5250.
Which one would be the better deal?

Are they from AGS? Numbers on both look good. Might be able to see some color in the I.

Yeah they both are from AGS.

Not sure of the depth on the one. I plugged some of those numbers in a HCA calculator and it said the pavallion angle and crown show that it has extremely thin girdle or numbers were entered incorrectly.

The pavilion angles don't look right. What is the cut grade on the stones?

You need to see the actual grading reports. Post those.

Okay. Those were pavillion percentage not the angles.

Is it worth the extra 150 bucks for the G color if I am a little nervous about the I color? Will I loose a little light performance with the SI2 depending on where the inclusions are vs the VS2 in the I ? It is pretty nice for an SI2. I just figured that if I am spending that kind of money, the little bit of money difference will be worth it, knowing that I won't ever be able to see any yellowish tint. Help please!!!

:?

What is the grade making inclusion in the SI2? It's possible for inclusions to impact light performace, depending on the type and location. Have you asked a gemologist to evaluate the stones for you? Are you shopping online or locally?

I don't believe that an ideal cut I is going to appear yellow by any means, but many people start to see warmth in stones below H. Face up the I should still appear quite white, only when compared to stones with a higher color would you really be able to tell the difference, but when viewed through the pavilion the color will be more obvious. How do you plan to set the stone? Some settings, like some halo designs for instance, cover much of this view.

It is similar to this, to where the prongs hold it and you can see through a side profile of the diamond. I went and compared the G and the I today, and could tell the difference between the two quite a bit. I decided to go with the G instead of the I, just knowing that it is going to eliminate the chance of people noticing. Hopefully I made the right choice.
