I''m wondering if you can tell me which of these diamonds is better than the other?

In addition, I''m wondering how the August Vintage cushion will look in a "novo" like setting that GOG has in stock, compared to the Tacori 2620. Is the Tacori too blingy, and does it cover up too much of the diamond in your opinion?

Those are both beautiful diamonds, you wouldn't go wrong with either. For some reason, I just like the look of the F color a little better, but that is strictly personal preference.

I think an AV cushion would look fabulous in the Tacori setting, but it is you that has to be happy with the look.

EDT: I thought this combo sounded familiar. Here is a thread with a link to a video Jon did of an AV cushion in the Tacori setting and it is amazing!

Without looking at the specs or aset, I like the F much better based on the actual image.

Similarly Priced, the F is almost a perfect square, will look a little bigger faceup its a more shallow cut with no detriment to optics, the clarity differences you won''t notice but one color up is a big plus in my mind.
Its an easy choice I''d go with the first one.

In my opinion the Novo style setting which is a solitaire with pave shank would look very beautiful and less busy than the 2620 which has a really intricate profile. You should also check out the GOG angel setting as well.

I like both of them a lot, take your pick really.

I like the novo style setting better.

My preference is for the F. I like the more square shape and don''t like the culet on the other stone being much smaller and quite rectangular.

It really comes down to personal preference though as they are both beautiful stones. If you''ve narrowed it down to these two you can''t go wrong, I''d just go with my gut.

Thanks to all for taking the time to reply. I greatly appreciate the support and expertise, as well as the links. I''m leaning toward the Novo setting and have one additional diamond for your consideration and thoughts. Any issues with the AV below. It''s more money than the F 1.23 but I believe I may want to go slightly bigger, and this is a G SI1 1.43. By the way, does anyone know how AV Cushion face up compared to Novo''s? Will a 1.43 AVC look similar to the Novo?

Thanks again!!

The G is gorgeous as well its a matter of budget and taste and it will look a little bigger. Faceup about the same, we don''t have the proportions of a Tiffany Novo but you could always go to a Tiffany''s and ask them for the Length Width and Depth, I suspect it will be similar. The novo is closer to a modern faceted cushion or a Square Cushion HA (example http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/3711/ the facets are smaller and it will have sharper contrast it doesn''t look like a AVC which is more of an antique cut with large chunky facets.

Hi tnel and welcome to Pricescope!

All of these cushions are beautiful, if either of the SI clarities are eyeclean to your standards then it comes down to personal preference which you choose.
