Which gem for sorta tension ring?

Hi,

I have a contemporary white gold ring in need of a colored stone. It was originally set with a diamond, so hardness wasn''t a factor. But now, my jeweler says a hardness of 8 or higher is needed. I like every color but yellow or orange. Other than that, what will look best with white gold?

Any suggestions?

Try sapphire, spinels and chrysoberyls. I can''t think of a colour that won''t go with white gold. Good luck!

I like the setting! Sapphires do come in many colors, check into those! Echoing Harriet, many colors look quite nice with white gold.
