Hello,
I’ve been lurking for a while and this is my first post. I’m trying to educate myself on diamonds and I’ve found PS to be so informative and helpful. I hadn’t realised there was so much more involved than the 4 C’s!
I’m looking for an engagement ring and thought my heart was set on a Tiffany solitaire but now I’m tempted by a Soleste. I think I’ve just about got my head around the dimension range for a round brilliant cut diamond although I’ve still got stacks to learn but I have no idea where to start on a cushion cut. I’ve found a Soleste .75 (centre stone) with the following specs:
E/VVS2
No fluorescence
Cut excellent
Polish & symmetry very good
Depth 70.9%
Table 64%
Crown height 48%
Crown angle 39
Pavilion depth 51.2%
Pavilion angle 37.6
Girdle thickness is medium to slightly thick
Would this be a good ring to purchase based on these stats?
Any advice/help very gratefully received, I’m terrified of making an expensive mistake.
Thank you so much x
