I am so glad that I came across pricescope as I''ve leaned so much over the past few weeks. To this end, I am getting close to making a decision and I would love to hear anyone''s thoughts on the following diamonds. Thanks!

Looks like the second one is sold???

Do you have a hold on it?????

have you seen these diamonds or do you have idealscope images of them?

It looks really good!!! Doubt there would be a problem re: clouds...but call and ask the vendor........

I guess Belle and I posted at the same time......actually, the second one seems to match one that comes up on the WF search......is that the one???

OP, if you want this removed, just say so.

Yup, that''s the one. The 1st stone is actually ~$2000 more than the second and I''m trying to decide if it is worth it for 1 color grade and a slightly better cut - albeit on paper. I intend to make a purchase within the next couple days. Can I go wrong with the either of these stones? I am not an expert at reading Idealscopes but it looks very close to H&A. I did ask the vendor about the clouds and I was told that "the design team stated that they cannot see the inclusion at all. Even under 20x magnification, it is hard to see." They also told me that because the cut is so good, it actually may look very close to a G color stone. Does this make any sense?

Given that this is my first time buying a diamond online, I was hoping someone might be able to help me understand weaknesses in either of these.

Thanks!

What makes you think the cut of #1 is "better"........they are a bit "different".........

Do you have an idealscope or other reflector image of the first one???

And, yes, a well cut stone "faces up" better than a mediocre stone....there could be some color difference when viewed from the side...........

Welcome

I prefer the numbers on the first diamond, but out of the two there are pros and cons such as price and colour grade and you would probably be happy with either. The clouds not shown comment isn''t a problem by the way. Best of luck, you have two fab diamonds there to choose from!

Thanks for the insight. I was thinking that stone #1 was a slightly better cut - on paper - because it had a marginally better HCA score. If the clouds are not generally an issue, I am leaning towards #2 as it is 15% less for moderately ''comparable'' stones, given that I am trying to maintain a budget. Secondly, as long as it is possible to perceive a better color grade b/c of the cut, I now feel better about working an online vendor such as WF.

I appeciate everyone''s guidance!
