Well I have finally narrowed down to 3 marquise from james allen. Here is the link http://www.jamesallen.com/?q=180852#!/loose-diamonds/marquise-cut//CaratFrom:0.50|CaratTo:0.54|Color:E|Clarity:SI1|PriceFrom:400|PriceTo:999000|TabSelected:3||DiamondID:180852,182297,30840
Now I am wondering a little on the depth. There are no set guidelines only what I have read and it appears that a depth of 62% is best but will it make alot of difference if it is shy of that Thanks, mary I would love the DSI1

Ditto. Not a fan of the first one.

Not a fan of any D color with strong blue D fluorescence. I'd rather have an E or F color with no fluorescence but that is JMHO.

The .54 has the nicest faceting pattern (IMO). Did you request aset images for these stones?

depth on a Marquise

What about the depth. what is a good depth on a marquise?

Doesn't matter that much; depth measured by the depth dimension divided by the length... so for marquises with different l/w ratios depth percentages are not good comparisons to make. Get the gemologist to pick the best one out of 3 or 4, I would not worry about ASETs or depth percentages.
