Which diamond is better?

I need some help deciding between these 2 diamonds for a solitare pendant. Diamond 1 is $300 more than diamond 2....other than that....would one be a better choice for a half bezel pendant over the other?

Value questions are personal.

#1 is a better color & bigger. Both are ACAs. One is a bit better. You''d have to decide if that''s worth $300 to you.

It''s not so much a value question. I was curious if there was something that I didn''t know (still learning) that would make one diamond a better choice for a pendant. Example: Never choose a J diamond for a pendant.......choose the larger of similar stones.

Diamond 1 has a HCA of 1.3. Diamond 2 has a HCA of 1.0.

Diamond 1 has a HCA of 1.3. Diamond 2 has a HCA of 1.0.

As long as the diamond comes under a 2 on the HCA they will both be nice. I personally would go for the I for the color and for size, just my 2 cents. Some people are color sensitive and others are not so I think you will be safe w/the I.

if you want a leeetle bit bigger, go for the first one. if you want a leeetle bit cheaper, go for the second one. either will be perfect.

Either stone would be an excellent choice, but between them, I''d rather pay for better size/color, so I''d also pick the .58

Thanks for all replies. Here''s the Aset of each. Diamond 2''s (J) ASET looks much better. How important is this?

I like the picture for #2 but you have to decide if for the money you want something a little bigger or if you are color sensitive. I would pick #2 personally. They both fall into the 1/2 ct size and to most people you wouldn''t be able to tell a huge difference once set. They are both beautiful so that is a personal choice really! Good luck
