both are beautiful stones but are totally differnet looks. i think it just depends on the look you prefer

I dont think you can ask which stone is better...they are both great stones but very different flavors. I love AVRs but you are going from a stone
that looks like less than a 1 carat round brillian (6.45-6.5) to the H&A that looks over a carat at 6.76. Does the size help you make a decision?
Here is the size difference on a size 6 finger...

They are both very well cut stones with excellent light return. The modern round will have more fire (pin-flash of lights) and smaller more splintery facets. The modern OEC will have more rainbow color light return and the facets being larger, the flashes are larger. OEC tend to be less firey than modern diamonds but have a lovely look. Both beautiful. OEC will have more of a vintage or antique look, while modern rounds are likely more like what you see every day.

Here's a true antique OEC. You can click on the video to get a sense of how they look. I love the pastel, large flashes.

Transitional (a bit later in time from OEC moving toward a modern)

An even later transitional.

I prefer the H&A. I like the sparkle and fire. Good luck to you!

You're asking the wrong question. Quality is not an issue here. What you should be asking is which look do you prefer. The facets on an old cut are "chunkier" for lack of a better term whereas the RB cut is more "splintery". Basically two different types of sparkle.

I just saw that you asked me a question on another thread. Both stones are top quality and beautiful! All depends on whether you want an antique style stone and setting or a modern cut stone with a more contemporary setting! (You can obviously set a modern stone in an antique setting, but since you haven't selected a stone yet, I'd recommend the antique style stone for the antique style setting!)
