Hi all! :wavey: Hope some of the learned PSers can help me out.

I am comparing three. Two are similar, the other is a lower color OEC, that I don't have the specs on. The two diamonds from Blue Nile score a 1.3 on the HCA. Sparkle is very importation to me. Overall, I would like a pretty, livley stone. I am setting this in a halo with F/G melee.

Any thoughts?

I am concerned this one will look milky:

The OEC, that I have place on hold:

Thanks!!!

SS- You know my thoughts but I will repeat.

Personally I really love the OEC but I hesitate because I'm not sure you will **love** old cuts and I think the color contrast between the M and the halo will bug you. I would personally embrace the color contrast as i find it to be romantic and "old worldly" but I'm not sure you would feel the same way. I would stick with one of the BN's options.

I'm not a diamond person so take my opinion for what it is worth- I would stick with the 2.11ct because I think the strong flur in the 2.03ct might make it look milky. You would need to see it in person to double check.

Goodluck on your search!

Depends on whether or not you believe them, but Blue Nile will check with the supplier on whether or not the diamond is eye clean and whether or not the fluorescence has a negative effect on the diamond. The supplier is motivated to sell the diamond so they may not be as objective about the "eye cleanness" or the fluoro effect though.

Thanks. :loopy:

I think you are right about the color bugging me. I've looked a ton of halo pics, and I prefer a higher color stone. I just purchased an O-P OEC pendant, I love it. The color is def noticable. If I wasn't putting it in a WHITE halo, I don't think the color would bother me.
