oyster, oyster, oyster!!!!!! just went to my brother''s wedding...SIL used this color and it was GORGEOUS! flattering on all skin types, amazing in pics, blends in but doesn''t disappear b/c it''s a great neutral.
my first thought was sage green, but after the 4th option was added, i''ve got to go with that one.
good luck!!!!!!

Silver! I think it will look modern and lovely.

I would have your BMs try on the color and see what goes best with their skin tone. People who have yellow undertones in their skin will probably look really bad in the yellow or oyster. I like silver best, but I think that oyster could look good too if it looked good on your BMs.

I vote for soft green. I''m not such a big fan of silver up against the ivory of your wedding dress, and I think the yellow will be hard for many skin tones to pull off.

Silver Silver Silver!!! It is such a pretty and fresh color and it will look gorgeous with the white flowers !!!

Yellow!! I think it''s beautiful and bright. It may be too similar to the venue, but it''s on people, not walls, and it''s not like they''ll blend in with the walls and you won''t see them... only other problem I could see with the yellow is skin tones - fair skin tones don''t do so well in yellow. But it is my favorite of the choices!

My next favorite is the green. I just don''t think the silver or the 4th option go for June with white and yellow colors - they''re too cool colors.

I love green & Oyster I can''t decide which I like more.

Silver or the pale green.

If the wedding is at night I might go with the silver. Early afternoon/evening, then the green.

ETA: I really like the way the silver looks with the white walls.
Hi meresal - thanks for the input. The ceremony is at 4pm and the reception starting at 6. Ceremony will be in the outdoor patio seen in this picture, and the reception inside (other picture).
ILTW... I really really really love the Silver and the way it looks with the indoor rooms/chairs/and walls of your venue. It will make the white flowers really pop, as well as your ivory dress!! It may not look the best in the covered garden area while the sun is still up, but I think it will look the best once the sun goes down.

What I wonder is how "green" those pale green dresses are actually going to look. I think they will be pretty in the "garden" area, but once you go insdide, are they going to look too garden? They may not stand out as much as you want them too, like the Silver would. I think I feel the same way about the Oyster, maybe too warm once the sun goes down. Also, if you have any fair skinned BM's, light/pale green REALLY washes people out.

IMHO, yellow is best as an accent color (ie, in your flowers, or napkins, etc). Too much yellow can be very overpowering, and it will make your dress look more Ivory than it actually is.

What color green are we talking about at your venue? I'm going to try to rummage up some color swatches

I vote for the silver or the oyster. I think the silver would be a neat contrast against the yellow - someone else did yellow and grey on here, and I thought it was fantastic even though I never would have thought of it myself. Green is my favorite color, but I think the silver or oyster would be more elegant and less bridesmaidy - take your party up a notch.

I think what we''ve really learned in this thread though is that everyone has a differing opinion based on what they want in their wedding. There is no clear winner - just whichever one you like the best. What are you going for? classic garden or modern elegance? I think both looks are lovely for a wedding, but it''s up to you which one you prefer.

Thanks Meresal!!!! You are great!

The restaurant itself is strange because it has a lot of cool colors (white walls, grey and silver accents) and a lot of warmth (bright yellow patio, bits of green flowers and warm lighting). The patio has a pale green wall (you can sort of see in the picture) and there is a lot of dark green in the garden from the plants and flowers. In the restaurant there are also a few plants here and there but the majority of the colors are cool (silver, grey, white).

My flowers (as of now) are going to be cream roses, calla lillies, and posies. The bridemaids boquets are going to have some yellow in them as well as white and will be a mix of flowers. I can always call the florist and change the color scheme to green for the bridemaids bouquets though... Not a problem. In terms of decorations, we are leaving the restaurant as it, so the napkins will be white.

I really like the silver but as you said it might look strange in the garden. Then again, silver and grey with yellow is very nice together and very french froufrou.

I guess I should let the girls try silver, green or oyster on to see. Now that i heard the dress style itself doesn't look great I am worried....

I like the silver!! I also like the yellow (even though everyone else likes the green!!). Since your flowers will be neutral you might want to add some color in somewhere. They are all lovely choices, your really can''t go wrong!!

I vote for oyster with yellow as a second choice.

Ok, my bad... In the pics posted on this thread the chairs inside the restaurant look white/black/and grey... however, they are actually tan/brown/and off white. The patio doesn't seem to be nearly as yellow as the pic posted here as well. After seeing the patio in normal light, I actually think the Silver would work better out there, and kinda iffy on how it will look with the "cellar/candlelight" feel inside.

I'm not sure you're going to find anything that looks totally awesome indoors and out, though I really hope you do!! In my case, my BM's are matching the church(very red carpet) and I pretty much said whatever to matching the reception site.

My new vote is for the Oyster (though, I googled MS's dresses in oyster and they look very ivory to me... you'll have to see in person) or a Gold/Bronze, as long as it isn't dull (something that captures light). If it has a nice sheen and really gorgeous yellow undertones, then I think it will look great with skin and will really glow under the afternoon sun and lighting at night. I think it will also accent the pale green througout the venue, the garden/patio ceremony, and the indoor reception as well.

Here are a few ideas I had. Maybe a bronze (possible lighter than this). Your venue is very bright and airy, and these look like they would go well with the wood and the pattern/color on the chairs.

Or a Gold like the one on the left. Will look good outside, and will pick up the candlelight feel indoors as well. I wonder if the Yellow you posted originally will actually have a "gold" feel to it in person? (Something inbetween the Oyster and the Yellow)

Just some of my personal opinions, I'm sorry if I'm being "overly" helpful

ETA: I just looked at some other pictures of the restaurant in google, and they seem much more modern. You could definitely use the Silver and it would look Phenominal!! I'm such a flip-flopper...

My vote is for the oyster or silver. Where are the BM dresses from if you don''t mind me asking?

As I look like death in silver, I would vote for one of the other two colors. I love how the silver looks with everything, but it is a difficult color to look good in for many, so I'd go with the soft green, personally. I like the oyster too. And with yellow flowers the yellow (if it is a soft yelllow) would just look lovely.

Oohhh yellow!!! I agree with the Sage green comment, kinda been done.

I like the green

I love the platinum silvery color.

Ditto! You have a better chance of the silver or green looking good on everyone - yellow is often a hard color to wear.

green then the gray

Soft green! It goes better with a June wedding, imho, than silver. And while the yellow is pretty, there is already yellow represented in the flowers.

firstly, i LOVE your color scheme--i''m soooo into grays and yellows (grays and fuchsia are another obsession of mine, so i''m biased toward gray as a neutral!) and i think the silver would be a fabulous contrast to the warm tones throughout everything else. i also think, as it''d be a great dress for perhaps a new year''s eve party or something like that, the silver would have (for me, anyway!) the most likelihood of being worn again in the future. personally, i love sage green (my MOH wore it!), but paired with yellow, it screams SPRING to me, and the pastel of the color just doesn''t suit such a modern cut dress, IMO. The oyster is also pretty, but i imagine the color might look really different in person, and i''ve never seen it, so i''m reserving judgment, haha. i love yellow, but i know very few people who look good in it, and with an ivory dress, it could make your dress look a dirty beige color, so i''d cut it altogether. hope that helps, and i can''t wait to hear what you decide because i''m in love with your colors and those dresses--best of luck with the fit!

Update!

So my gf's were down from Montreal and we went to try on some bridesmaids dresses. We narrowed it down to this dress for the bridemaids and the next dress for the maid of honor in either silver or champagne. I think I like the silver better, what do you guys think?

The bridemaids bouquets are yellow and green and my dress is very light ivory (color or natural raw silk)...

I think silver....champagne is hard to pull off....I look like I''m about to throw-up anytime I put it on.

Also, like someone mentioned above the warmer your BM dresses are the warmer your dress will look against them...so it could turn dress very ivory anfd bring out any yellow in it. while the silver should be more neutral against your dress.

ILTW, I love those dresses, especially the MOH one

The other dress didn't work out, huh? Anyways, just wanted to let you know my vote's still for silver.

Hi Poca!

We didn''t end up going to try the POB dress in the end.. MISSI was way too far after my friends drove in from mtl....

Thanks for the input! My only worry remains that my wedding dress is light ivory and might clash with the cool silver color... Other than that I love the silver. The greens they had in the Impressions dresses were hideous. Somehoe the silver makes them look a bit higher quality and less cheezy.

I''ve been dying to know what you thought about the dress. I see that you didn''t go but I actually love the new choices!!!
