oh and I vote for champagne.

Okay...as soon as I saw you wanted my opinion, I rushed right over...

I vote oyster for many reasons...

1.Silver and sage have been done, and done to death. There is nothing "omg" about either color, you can see it featured at a multitudeb of weddings on any given weekend everywhere in the world.

2.Something about your venue makes me feel beachy. Maybe its the yellow sunporch, or the sandy stone pillars...but I feel like it Cape Cod and the Hamptons and Martha''s Vineyard. It''s beautiful and classy, and yet young.

I wouldn''t go yellow because I think its such a "power" color--you either make it work, or you don''t, and it fails big time. With so many variations of yellow from buttercream to marigold, and every shade in between, you''ll be hard pressed to make that statement work and match. Plus, yellow is really hard to wear to for most women, and esspecially if it''s shinny...yellow just doesn''t have the right tone to make every skin color look great.

The oyster color is wedding perfection. I love the versitility of it...I love that it can go with ivory, white, yellow, green, sliver, gold...and transition flawlessly between them all! Does it make a serious statement? No. Its more of a background color...but it''s so lovely that it will stand out just on that fact alone. Plus, your flower choices will be lovely with the color--they are soft, girly blooms--and the dress speaks of romance, and girly glam! I adore it!

Hands down, oyster!

Here are the descriptions of our flowers from my florist (which I can always alter). Let me know what you guys think! I just let her have free reign since she has done many weddings at that restaurant before and knew what would look nice.

Bridal Bouquet: A stunning bouquet of small white calla lilies arranged in a cascading dome shape with clusters of fully open ivory spray roses woven among the calla for a chic and modern style. White gladiola blooms with soft ruffled edges are individually wired and added to the bouquet highlighting the elegant shape. The stems will be generously wrapped with a double satin ribbon to match your dress.
Bridesmaid Bouquets: A chic and full flower bouquet of soft yellow gladiola blooms individually wired and arranged with soft green roses. Rich cream sweet peas are woven among the larger flowers. This colour scheme is simply lovely with the stem generously wrapped with double satin ribbon to match the flowers.

Ceremony Flowers : Ceremony Arrangements
2 varying height clear acrylic pedestals are placed in a diagonal line creating a larger and wider display placed to one side of the ceremony area. A different floral display will be placed on each pedestal.
Back Row Vase A tall glass rectangular vase with tall sleek steel grass and pandanas leaves folded in loops to create a backdrop to tall white calla lilies for a chic and modern style.
Front Row Vase : A smaller lower level rectangular glass vase with a loosely arranged dome of white peonies and fully blown for a full flowers style. Wrapped around the outside of the vase is rich ivory satin ribbon.

Additional Floral Entrance Arrangement : A tall fluted rectangular glass vase is placed at the entrance, greeting your guests as they enter the restaurant. Dramatic tall white calla lilies are arranged in a cascading fan up and out of the vase for a chic and modern style.

Your flowers sounds sooooo beautiful! Cant wait to see pics of it.

I initially said sage, but I would have to agree that Oyster would look really nice as well. I''m just a tad bit concered about the colours washing out with the rest of the decor. Can you maybe do the girls accessories with a different colour? Like turquoise-green? They would go together beautifully, and this way you still have a hint of green popping!

The flowers sound lovely...but you need to take the "flowery" words out and understand that you''re getting gladiolas'', spray roses, cala lillies, greenery, and peonies. Do you like these flowers? If you do...then they sound awesome.

I would suggest asking to see samples of your flowers. Different florists use different flower vendors, and the quality can vary greatly...you don''t want to be dissappointed in the end. Any good florist should be willing to put together one sample of each design...however, she may charge you wholesale for the product, or a percentage of the cost. If that''s okay with you, and in your budget...it will be money well spent. If she wont offer this service or it''s not in your budget, ask her to please phone you if/when she does an arrangement similar to the ones for your wedding....this of course you can view for free.

I cannot tell you how many brides I have worked with were literally "surprised" when they saw their own bridal bouquet. And, this was a mistake I made. I paid out the nose for flowers at my wedding because they were very important to me...however, I never even *thought* to get a sample made up...on my wedding day, the flowers were wrong, wrong, wrong. I ordered really special arrangements for the ceremony, that were nowhere to seen...my table arrangements were much *smaller* than discussed, agreed upon, and paid for. I was disappointed, and it still haunts me to this day.

I plan on seing an arrangement closer to the date... Right now the flowers aren''t really in season so it would be too $. I originally asked for roses and calla lillies... but I do love peonies and I think the gladolias are just in there to add a hint of color...

I went to see the florist when we booked her and I was impressed with the quality of the flowers and arrangements she had on display. She is for sure one of the best florists in Toronto and has great reviews....

I do agree, though, that I need to see the bouquets before the date :)
