Hi Kev,

Keep the thread bumped, that way Storm will see it when he logs in!

strm''s the resident expert, I''m sure he''ll be along soon to help!

I''m no expert, but I know what I like to see. Of the ones you picked, I like the H SI1 the best (especially ASET), eyecleanliness needs to be enquired about.

If I were picking one out however, using those prices above as a guage, I''d pick this one.

Of course, strm may come along and say why it isn''t a good pick.

That one is a great one but the 1.65ct H SI1 is the winner of the group.
It has been reported that Sarah cant find the inclusion without a loupe and she has excellent vision so its not likely anyone else will either.
The cut is great and the bang for the buck puts it over the top.
Plus it looked kicken in the video it was in.

Thanks strm. Any clue where the video for the SI1 asscher is? I didn''t see it referenced in any of the video descriptions on the site.

Also, can you provide some comments on this asscher, http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/5566/ . It''s actually my top choice...just wondering if theres something I''m missing.

thanks again!

That one is the third one in this vid

I would like a little wider corners but for someone who likes the outline it is a good one.

The 1.65 is here:

strm, is it better because it''s bigger and eyeclean (bang for buck), or because of something else? Because looking at the ASET''s, the one I picked seems, better to me? It seems to have more red, and the other has an area of almost white, on all sides. Can you splain to me please, I just want to know what I''m missing.

My favorites were 2 and 3 and the one ellen posted. I definitely don''t like 1 and 4, the widmills look wonky.

They are both equally well cut with plenty of red in the ASET.
Both display normal leakage.
so it comes down to bigger and a nice value for the money compared to others the same size.

Thanks for all the comments. Seems like I still have some more research to do...not as straightforward as I thought.
Appreciate all the help!

You can always ask Jon to video the top 3-4 side by side.
Since you are likely not the only one considering them I don''t see where he would have a problem doing another video.

How are these compared with GOG? Should more info be requested on any?

I''m concerned with the SI1 (can see inclusion in the video or was that dirt?)

The video for these look nice.

First 2 JA look ok so far would need CH and IS images but they are I color and you might see some tint and would need to be ok with that.

the 1.21ct G VS1 gog is another contender.

Talk to Sarah about the si1 inclusions she has very very good eyesight.
