Curiosity here…

For the center portion of the stone, which ASET is preferred between two like this?

For these two particular stones, one is not better than the other. The computer-generated ASET uses a different degree of obscuration than an actual ASET scope, so most likely, if an actual ASET image were taken of the second stone, it would not show that extra blue in the center.

Do you have the equivalent face-up images of the diamonds themselves that you can post?

At this point, just working on narrowing down my limited options (of stones you've recommended) and was wondering if one of these was better or not.

I do have an Idealscope on its way to me to use when I do order one in.

I agree these are computer generated ASET's; however, I am not convinced that image 2 is just dynamic contrast (30d and 40d obscuration). There isn't a differentiation in color like shown on AGS reports (could be because it's a different lab). But also, it is only picking up the table reflection and not the other areas typically defined with dynamic contrast.

I think more info is needed to properly assess.

FYI, table reflection increases as either the table and/or pavilion increases. The images below show that effect happening. It's easy to see the OP's second stone has a smaller table. So based on the table reflection in the OP's computer ASET provided I would also guess it has a steeper pavilion than the first.

1st stone:
Table: 55.4%
Pavilion: 40.7

2nd stone:
Table: 55.1%
Pavilion: 40.6

I wouldn’t expect those minor differences to look so different on the ASET. Are you certain those are the correct ASET’s for each stone? If so, the other possibility is one was zoomed more than the other if you did a screen capture.

Below is the same pic I posted earlier but with highlights. One set of stones identify same pavilion and different tables. The other is the same table but different pavilions. Notice the yellow highlighted areas on the stone. Now look at your pics and you will see what I mean.

These were straight from the AGS reports.

What are the rest of the numbers or the report #s?

I was posting from my phone, and mixed up which stone I had used for the first image.

Here's the correct info for that one:
Table: 55.9%
Pavilion: 40.8

Report for #1:

Report for #2:
