Which 2.5mm wedding band to go with my round solitare?

I prefer ring number one. Where did you purchase your ring(s) from?

I can see why you are torn... first one looks better with the ering, second looks better alone. But I still think that the first one holds its own alone

Given that, I would place my vote for the first one.

Also, I have a wedding band that I cannot wear alone (curved) so I bought a cheap tungsten band for when I dont wear my ering/wedding band (like for hockey games or house work). This has worked out great for me.

Erinleigh -- Great point! --> "I don''t think that a couple of mm either way will have people guessing if the ring on your left hand means that you''re married or not"

True again tigian -- I do like the option of stacking, which "feels" easier with the high dome.

cathers - I ordered my rings from Wedding Ring Hotline. They called to ask if I meant to order two rings and after 5 minutes on the phone with my crazy-indecisive self Mitch was more than happy to send me both.

poshpepper - I''m so glad I''m not alone!! I''m realizing more and more that the small difference in the rings don''t make a big difference saying "I''m married" but one definitely does more justice to my ering -- and I shouldn''t spite my pride and joy!

Thanks again everyone. I think I''m finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

why don''t you just keep them both! wear the high dome with your ering and wear the low dome for the occasions you will be without your ering.
Then you can mix and match as you like!

Its funny you say that Wishful - I was on the phone with my mother and she said the same thing!

Although its tempting, I really want one plain wedding band. I hope to have sparkly siblings for my ering one day, but I''m aiming for one true companion that *hopefully* I can keep always.

I like the high dome best. It just looks "right" to me.

I think the high dome is perfect with your ering and alone

I like the higher dome better with your ering.

Me too!

Can you keep them both and wear the low dome as the stand alone band??

I like the highdome!

Thank you KittyBean - that''s a good way to describe it. :)

MMT Aww! Thanks for the applause! I''m so glad to hear that folks like how the high dome looks by itself - I was worried.

icekid I''ve had that suggestion come up, and though I think its a great one, I really one a single "forever" plain band.

Thanks Jenn5504!

My fiance told me he would tell me which one he liked best if I promised it wouldn''t sway my opinion. I told him I''ve had mulitple folks tell me they like one or the other so it won''t bother me either way.

He said he liked the high dome too - I totally pegged him to like the other one.

So -- I think I''m settled. The high dome is a keeper. Thank you again to everyone for weighing in! This was so very helpful!

yes - high dome!

Def the high dome, they look great together!! And I think the band looks find on it''s own, it''s just hard to get used to looking at a plain band without a stone I think.

I like the first better. It does look pretty thin on it''s own but that''s why there are eternity bands!

i vote for the 1st one. i think it looks better with the engagement ring, and i also like the dainty-ness when its on its own best too.

Another vote for the high dome! It is a perfect match.

I vote high dome because I ordered the exact same ring from the same manufacturer weeks ago. I haven''t gotten it yet, but I sold all of my smaller low dome wedding bands in favor of a more substantial look.

Thank you motownmama!

Great point honey22. I''ve never worn just ''a band'' my whole life -- who''s to say this one isn''t wide enough? :)

Thanks Kelli -- I do hope to add a band or two over the years -- love the stack!

Thank you trishy! That''s a phrase I should learn to own, ''dainty''. :) I''ve never been a fan of very bulky settings.

Thank you Housecat!

And thank you gemgirl! I like that you use the term "substantial".

Its good to know that you know the exact ring I''m choosing too.

Thanks again everyone!

I love the high dome option.

another hand shot :)
I like the low dome better. It gives you a substantial look of being married more than the high dome.

High dome! I think it looks nice on its own.

I agree as well- the high dome. I think you will definately still look "married" with the high dome. Its very elegant. Its lovely and it looks great on your hands .
2.gif

I also like the high dome best. Plus, you can still wear it if you add a diamond band later! I think the other one would not look as good for stacking.

I also prefer the first one. It looks so perfect with your engagement ring, and at normal distance, I doubt it looks so glaringly thin on its own. It also sounds like the majority of the time you plan to wear the two together, but occasionally intend to wear it on its own. I''d guess you''ll get used to the look of the single thin band. It''s not like you are wearing it for anyone but yourself-especially in the woods, so do what makes you happy.

thanks for filling me in. I ordered just about the exact same ring from eweddingbands.com a few weeks back, and it got here in two days!!(here is northern Saskatchewan Canada!) I also ordered a scattered diamond band from Mitch at Wedding ring hotline, and was impressed with the communication, price and quality of diamonds.

Definitely the high dome for me!

I like the high dome - to me it''s not a perfect match, but it definitely enhances your ER in the right kind of way. As others have said as well, it''s probably better for stacking also. I think it looks great just on it''s own, but then I like that look anyhow. Good luck.

Thank you chiquitapet!

joelly you are the first to vote for the low dome.
9.gif
I agree it does look more substantial...

Thank you mscushion! It helps to hear that people like the way of the high dome on its own.

Thanks so much angeline_g for the compliments! "elegant" is another word I need to start using with "dainty". :) Instead of thin.

Very true diamondseeker2006! And I do hope to have a little stack of my own someday.

haha mayachel! Very true -- I doubt anyone in my backyard or camping would make comments about my jewelry.

Glad to hear you also had a good experience Cathers!

Thank you for your input DandiAndi!

I love that you said "its not a perfect match" loveloveloveit! That''s what I was going for - complimentary but a little different. Perfect! Thank you!

Thank you all so much!!!

I finally got mine too, after my "did you forget about me?" email. I like it a lot! I hope you still like yours too ladies. I really really like the look of palladium.

did you order the scattered diamond wb from them as well? I got mine, and am ready for the wedding(June 3rd) woohoo! fast shipping and rush labor was no extra charge. I really like the look of palladium as well, and am now considering changing out my platinum setting to palladium..

I think the high dome looks great, alone and with your e-ring.......

However, if you still feel it''s not quite substantial enough on it''s own you''ll just have to get a nice blingy eternity band to go with it
