Hi Pricescopers!

So, being the indecisive bride to be that I am -- I ordered two wedding bands because I couldn't decide based on pictures or trying on similar bands in stores. I knew I wanted a 2.5mm, palladium band -- but couldn't decide between a high dome or low dome. Both rings arrived last night and my finger is about to fall off due to constantly swapping out rings to try.

Needless to say, I still can't decide. I see benefits to each ring.

Positive points for the high dome:
Matches my ering better
Sits closer to my ering -- allowing for future stacking :)
Is more dainty

Positive points for the low dome:
Would be easier to engrave
Looks more substantial by itself (the "married" look) :)
Isn't so 'matchy matchy'

Just about the time I get my mind made up about one, I decide on the other. I know this is largely personal preference, but I'd love to hear from the group!

Here comes LOTS of pictures -- hold tight!

First, the high dome...

The downside -- I think it looks too dainty/thin by itself. What do you think?

My fingers were swollen at this point, lol.

Now for the low dome...

I LOVE how this one looks on its own!! Not too big or small. I want to look "married". :)

How does it look with ering?

you are probably not done posting yet but ... I like the high dome.

I think it looks very elegant and simple on it''s own and definitley gives the look of being "married".
I also like the way it snugs up to your e-ring (which is gorgeous by the way!).

I like the higher dome better with your ering.

thanks wishful and geckodani!

I like the highdome... I guess I just have a wider band stuck in my head.

Has anyone had experience having a comfort fit band engraved? I really would like my band engraved.

I like the first one better, but the second one looks more like my wring. Go figure. Both are good choices.

I prefer the first one!!!

Thank you Stone Hunter! *sigh decisions decisions

And thanks ImpatientOne -- love your name by the way! ;)

I don''t see why they couldn''t engrave it! As for the width. Well - that''s what stackers are for.

I like the high domed one, but do you want to wear it separatly at times? I know you said it doesn''t look too substantial on its own, how bout something that has some scattered diamonds, so that it gives it a little presence and not detract from your solitaire, if that option is out, then definitely #1

Thanks geckodani - great point!

D&T I do want to wear it separately at times. My fiance and I love to camp and sail and I really want a wedding band that I can wear forever and not worry if it gets dirty or scuffed... I do plan on getting an anniversary band later or maybe a more elaborate engagement ring setting, but my wedding band needs to stand up on its own. I can see me just wearing it running errands or at home in the evenings.

I hope that helps! Always more angles -- I never new a simple wedding band could be so complicated. lol Thanks again!!

Another vote for high dome. I think it''s absolutely substantial enough on it''s own. If you''re like me more often than not you''ll be wearing your ering so go for what''s best most of the time as opposed to what''s best those rare times you wear your band only.

Thanks ms.halo, I guess my real fear of "does it look too dainty" will only come into question when I''m in the middle of nowhere or my own backyard -- so I suppose that does take some ''wind out of the sails'' for my argument. :)

I also like the high dome. Looks great with your e-ring and I thinks it''s nice on it''s own as well.

First one!

Thank you bluebell. :)

I''m sitting at work -- still switching the rings back and forth (oh believe it -- crazy girl brought them to work with her). I was in the high dome court -- but I''m swinging back to low dome. Its less ''matchy-matchy'' (which I''m not a huge fan of).

*sigh

But the high dome does seem to make my ering diamond look bigger. Oh Lord, did I just switch again?

I''m sick.

thank you for weighing in steph72276! :)

I really appreciate that SanDiegoLady! By far that''s my biggest (or should we say smallest lol) concern. I want a wedding band, not a spacer. :D

Thank you all again so much!! I think I''m swinging back to the high dome court! Lordy-Lordy.

One more *vote* for the high dome :)
I agree with the others... it definitely accentuates your ering nicely, and I think it''s more than enough on it''s own (I don''t think that a couple of mm either way will have people guessing if the ring on your left hand means that you''re married or not, you know what I mean?).

I like the high dome...a bit more elegant and refined. It is perfect for stacking.
