If you're open to it, I would suggest looking for a pair of loose tanzanites and having them set in simple gold stud settings.

Jeff Davies (Jeffery Davies Gems - you can search for his website) often carries some nice tanzanite, though I haven't seen any pairs lately. You could reach out to him and request that he price something out for you. I believe he has cutters on site and his prices are reasonable, so he might be able to accommodate you.

The first pair are 4.5 mm, tiny, and based on the vendor, I can almost guarantee they will be lavender -not the color in the picture (look at the oval pair pictured below them). Their true value is 1/2 that price at best.

The second pair are better, 6mm which is not tiny, but again, the color may or may not be as great as the photo, which is a stock photo. They have a good return policy though.

You could try checking the list of colored stone vendors too if you are not in a huge hurry (like, want them by Mother's Day) some may be able to arrange having them set too.

I am in a bit of a hurry. I need them in my hands by May 15th. So picking out loose gems and getting them into a setting is probably not going to work.

You could call Marc Sarosi at AfricaGems and ask if they can quickly assemble a pair of earrings, using a matched set of their calibrated stones; price depends on size & quality of tanzanite chosen:

If AfricaGems doesn't have any suitable mountings at hand, they could probably get some from, e.g., Stuller even overnight.
AfricaGems is having a 20% off Mother's Day sale through May 10 :))
