Hi, after looking for a heart cut diamond for way too long and becoming totally frustrated I've decided to look at my birthstone for my new rhr. Where would you gem experts suggest I start my search? I'd love a excellent cut heart or pear shape Peridot of around 3-6 ct.

All advice and suggestions gratefully received.
Thanks,
Elizabeth

Africa Gems have three heart shapes and several wide cut pear shapes, all above the 5.50 ct size.
Peridot is one of those gems that is elatively inexpensve in stones up to 3cts, and then the price begins to climb quite rapidly for bright, loupe clean stones.
It is also fairly uncommon in those shapes.
This was the smallest they had.

Hi "ElizabethR"

I just wanted to add that Spinel has now been named as a birthstone for August. Of course peridot is a beautiful stone and relatively low in cost so you may be able to get a custom cut as others have mentioned
