I've looked all over, and it seems that most sites don't have stones that small.

Contact a cut-focused jeweler directly. Most diamonds that small don't have reports but are available to sellers who know the cutters specialized in this size range.

BGD will have them, reach out to them.

How about calling BG or WF?

I've got one. I am going to list in on Ebay. Keep an eye out, it will be in the next 24 hours. A really nice one.

Do you just want a loose stone? Because if you need it for a piece of jewelry, the person making it can source the stones.

Definitely the best idea if you're looking to have something made!

But gosh, I gotta say on the rare occasion that you happen to want to get a single well-cut melee yourself it can be a PITA! I wanted a pair of nicely cut 12pointer J/Ks - the size plus the cut requirement plus the colour plus the fact that I didn't really want to pay for reports if I could avoid it plus the fact that I wanted them loose, not set in jewellery...

Well that's my ramble for the day ::)

I think Whiteflash has them...I know they do H&A melee. Not sure if they sell those stones loose but it would be worth calling.

They don't, when I checked :(sad

Some of them will not sell melee stones loose. They use them when making custom pieces.

And just 'cause it's on-topic, this is one of the niftiest things I've ever seen on here - H&A micro-melee!! A 0.02ct and a 0.008ct -

Terrific recall, Yssie. At the top of page 2 - we had a blast making and presenting that image. I'm not sure where it's published - not sure it was PS - but Brian Gavin also photographed some H&A melee set into an eternity band (arrows of course) that was very cool.

Bonus in that thread: Neil Beaty makes up Pricescope lyrics to the MTV song on page 4. Karaoke, anyone?

Great memories.

Yssie, did you ever manage to find J H&A cut melee? If you did, would you mind sharing?? It would be super helpful! Thanks!

Those are so cute!!!
How on earth is it possible to cut something that small with that degree of accuracy??!

That is literally mind-boggling.

It must be proof of concept stuff, surely - it can't be financially viable to cut stones that small that well and sell them for the price they'd be on the open market for that size?!

Hi emme!

Y'know, I don't even remember what I wanted them for! I think I was looking for sidestones? If that's the case I wound up taking the shortcut and digging through a parcel with a loupe in NYC and picking two I was happy with in terms of facet patterning. They're assuredly not H&A, but they get the job done.

Neither BGD nor WF will sell loose melee. If you're searching I'd probably recommend contacting Wink (High Performance Diamonds) or Jon (Good Old Gold) to see if they have any ideas ::)

Thanks so much for the fast response! Too funny that you can't recall which project it was for  Sounds like you got the job done by yourself though!

Really appreciate the contact suggestions!
