Where to find quality pearls

Does anyone have suggestions of where I might look to buy a pair of nice quality pearl stud earrings and roughly how much they might cost? Just average sized - white (possibly with the slightest hint of pink). Thanks.

I just received a strand of collection quality pearls in the 8.5 mm range from American Pearl, recommended above. Stunning is not an adequate description.

Well, I ended up buying a pair of Mikimoto A+ quality studs during my lunch break. I realize it''s not top of the line as far as what''s out there, but it was what I could afford (for a last minute purchase - I totally forgot today was my mother''s birthday) and I''m hoping that the name says something about the quality of the pearls.

I''d love to get some pearls for myself when I''ve saved a little money, so thanks for the direction. If the pearls are as beautiful in person as they are on the American Pearl website, I definitely need to check them out.

I have a silver-white South Sea Pearl pendant from American Pearl that is absolutely gorgeous -- I have received numerous compliments on it.

One day, I would love to have a pearl strand like the one Gale has! Wow!
