Gosh...wish I had found this wonderful website and you folks much sooner. I'm afraid I've made some awful mistakes but I'm hoping to correct that and I hope you can help.

I have always wanted an OEC Diamond to go with my current antique/vintage platinum & diamond wedding band. Over the years, I've purchased a few settings for a Transitional Cut diamond I owned and of course, everything didn't work. In frustration, I sold the TC diamond long ago and did without.

My problem has been that the settings and stones I have been able to afford seem "dwarfed" next to my platinum diamond band...they just don't look right. And I'm not a flashy sort...I think an approximate 1.5 carat OEC is good for me...

Well, I finally purchased an okay OEC 1.54 carat diamond in a setting that of course doesn't work with my band. I love my band and I wear it every day. While trolling (once again) for ideas and settings, I located a beautiful ring on Israel Rose in a setting I love. I cannot afford this ring and I do NOT like the bezel. But I'm hoping someone might know where I can find a similar setting, so I can reset my current OEC diamond.

I contacted a few Mossanite Dealers on Etsy with similar kinda settings but they will not sell a semi-mount only. I cannot spend another small fortune having something custom made...

I'll enclose a few photos. Can someone tell me where I might be able to locate this type of Israel Rose setting?
I AM looking through all the links of dealers who sell reproduction antique and vintage settings...the links are under another thread.

ALSO ANY SUGGESTIONS, IDEAS, etc about setting would be appreciated.
AND PARDON MY WONKY ARTHRITIC HANDS!!!

Can you please tell us your budget for the setting? That can help guide us in our recommendations.
 
Hi and THANK YOU for the quick reply! Ugggghhhh...I am so broke from buying hit/miss settings. I imagine I can turn some stuff in (lololol) and get $$$$$ for a replica setting. Would like to keep the setting between $2000-$3000, ideally.

My current OEC, setting and stone was about $6,900... :doh:

And I actually like WHITE GOLD a lot...doesn't have to be platinum. I think the platinum will make the cost prohibitive.

Do you think it's doable???? THANK YOU!

And just another view of my dilemma...see what I mean about how dwarfed the setting looks? Don't like it at all :confused:

And...not a so good story, I have been in touch with David at Israel Rose and actually returned an item. I adore David but sadly my experience was not good. They are great but my experience, not so...

I had the acacia setting:) Caysie is amazing. Email her your budget- I am sure she can make it in White gold in your budget. :D

Not sure about my budget but hopefully, I can scrape the money together, sigh.

Do you have any insights about a smaller, more affordable Israel Rose type setting??

Caysie Van Bebber is the designer's name- her company is CVB-ID Caysie Van Bebber inspired designs. You can search her rings on here. She's one of the best vintage designers out there. I have 3 rings and 3 of her bands....


David Klass can reproduce that israel rose setting....
