where to find custom setting for diamond

I posted something similar on show me the ring but am thinking this would be a better place for it.

I am leaning towards a marquise cut diamond (close to 2 carats) that I would like to have set in an East-west diamond setting. I need a wide band 10-12 mm wide. I am on a limited budget ($2-2500 for the setting).


Can any of you recommend a place where I could find a beautiful custom or ready made band that would work for this?

Hmmm that is a toughie. You might have to go custom for that. My favorite place to peruse settings is Pearlman''s Jewelers (online). They have a TON.

As for custom, there are plenty of places you can go but really where I would send you depends on what kind of ring you are looking for. Modern? Pave encrusted? Victorian? If you can give me a better idea of what you want I can recommend a few custom designers as I am sure others could too...

I would love something like that on a wider band. I like pave or diamonds on the side. I stay away from simple, solitaire settings. I like more pizazz.

I need the band to be at least 10 mm wide.

For custom work, check out whiteflash. Just type whiteflash in the search button and you'll see their work. I was just there today w/a few other PS'ers and they showed us the whole layout. They also did another PS'ers halo split shank ring for a marquise cut diaomnd.
