Do you have any bead shops in your area? They often carry them. There are some vendors on Etsy that I've purchased from as well as eBay but having to order them and then wait can be a pain...

Yes, I have purchased a couple of times from Sarah, and her service is great and her pictures are accurate, but slightly darker than the real thing. FlyGirl bought from her, and a couple of others here in Pearls have purchased from her. She's 100% reputable, and she will take returns if the pearls are not altered. Check her website for the time limit on returns.

You might want to call her and ask her about suggestions for the tin cups, she has lots of stock that is not on the website.

If you do a search on this forum for "Sarah", you will see posts about her. Call her, she will send pictures of her stock.

no, but I have made similar necklaces before. I will definitely get some extra pearls though!

My first few practice strands had to be redone. I didn't knot them tight enough and the silk loosens... but if you're not using silk I suppose that won't be a problem

yes, not using silk...that would be challenging but fun to try someday.

if I ever get around to starting this project (and finishing) I will post pictures! I think I am going to go to the local bead store today and if they don't have anything order from Sarah...I sent her an e-mail and she e-mailed back right away with pictures of lots of strands.
