Hi I am new here. I just posted false topic by clicking enter. I am so sorry.
Anyway, I am looking for a beautiful natural ruby ring. Here is why. My daughter was born in July 2003. When she was born, we were very poor and my husband could not get me anything. ( My husband feels he should give me something for keepsake)

My daughter''s 1st birthday is coming very soon and he gave me money to purchase a birthstone ring of my daughter which is a ruby. It is $1000...I know some people may think it is not enough but this is all he can do and I truly appreciate his thoughts.
I am only interested in buying my ring thru internet. I found a beautiful etoile ruby ring at Tiffany.com but i can''t make out if the color is red or pink. I''d like red rather than pink. Do you have any suggestion which website selling trustable ruby? Thank you!

In the FAQ section of the site there is a list of engagement ring settings, insurance, etc. It also contains a list of several sites which sell nice coloured gems... I'd try taking a look at those first.

Practically every one of us here on PS who maintain physical diamond inventories also maintain or have access to pretty substantial inventories of colored gems. It is simply more difficult to represent colored diamonds accurately over the internet at this time so you won't find extensive inventory lists of colored gems. Pick a dealer like ourselves, GoodOldGold, Wink or WhiteFlash and email them with a picture of what you want if you have it and a good description of the color and hue that you prefer and any one of us should be able to assist you. It would be "really" helpful if you could find an independent gemologist in your area who has a GIA Pantone Color Set on hand so that you could let us know which color swatch best represents the color range that you prefer.

The stones cut by Richard Homer which Wink has access to are Wicked Cool... No offense taken Strmrdr, you'll notice that we mentioned Wink ourselves 'cuz we love his stuff!

Hi, Chialea. Thank you for your quick reply. I will keep your advice in my when I look. very valuable advice!

Hello, Niceice. I know what you are saying about not being able to define a stone over the internet. I will visit your website to educate myself and also look for GIA inventor close to my house. I hope i can find on. thanks for your advice.

Hello. Thank you very much for your opinion. I will go to websites you recommended and take it from there. thanks!
