Where or How to get Rough Estimate on Rings and Diamonds to

I wanted to find out if there is a way to get a rough idea of how much if a ring is sold, how much i might be offered for it. I was told it would be for the value of the diamonds themselves and the metal (i guess not the ring,designer or style).

A good place to start might be a respected appraiser, they will give you a valuation + a rough idea of the actual price you should get selling it preloved + the buyer then has piece of mind that they know what they are purchasing from you. Some labelled pieces like Tiffany hold their value and sometimes collectable pieces like Jabel for example and others also can be worth a little more to the right person. Alternatively think about consigning it with someone like JBEG they girls will get it appraised for you and let you know what they think it is worth and rough estimates of what they could sell if for.

That totally depends on what the ring is. For example, you might be able to sell a Tiffany ring for 60-75% of current value. But a generic ring with a mediocre diamond, you might get half that much.

It depends on the cut, colour and clarity of the diamonds. Do you have a picture of it, I am sure there will be people on here that will have some sort of idea if they can see what it is, but you will probably need to know the specs of the diamonds in order to get the most you can for it.

That totally depends on what the ring is. For example, you might be able to sell a Tiffany ring for 60-75% of current value.

Hi Diamondseeker, with which means of selling would you expect to see this return ? Would that be consignment, private sale or direct to a jeweller?

the ering has graduated stones, the weddg band i think are all the same

It's gorgeous. That said, because it is a semi mount, it will take a specific buyer and you may have to sit on it for a while...unless the price is right. I would expect a 50 percent loss. Ebayers and estate shoppers are cheap. I would put it on diamond bistro or loupe troop, and link it to preloved because at least PSers are knowledgeable about quality and may be more willing to offer you fair value.
