Is there a "rule" about this? I was told by someone at a jewelry store once that "diamonds are worn next to diamonds" so if your anniversary band has diamonds, it''s usually placed to the outside, next to the e-ring (rather than putting it closest to the hand with your wedding band separating the two, for example).

So, do you wear the wedding band closest to your heart, then e-ring, then anniv band? Or wedding band, anniv band, then e-ring? Or maybe on the right hand?

Just curious. My friends have said that I am strange for wanting to wear the anniv band on my left hand beside my wedding/e-rings.

Your thoughts?
Thanks!

That''s how I wear it.

I believe the concensus is to wear it whatever way makes you happy...

I either wear w-ring, anniv ring, e-ring (because for my rings it looks wierdly unbalanced to go w-ring, e-ring, anniv ring)

or, I only wear anniv ring, e-ring

because with 3 rings, it''s hard to dry my finger under the rings and I''ll get a rash.

But I also recall that w-ring, e-ring, anniv ring is the theoretically best way

Hi,

Whenever I wear more than one ring with stones on the same finger I always wear my plain platinum 2mm wedding band between them to prevent the stones and prongs from rubbing and scratching each other. I have an old saphire and diamond three stone ring that was worn next to a five stone band for years. The prong holding one of the side stones has worn away almost completely and I was in danger if loosing the stone. And this is platinum mind you. It turns out one of the diamonds from the band was grinding away at that prong all those years (duh lizzy

). So, I would never again put two diamond (or any other kind of stone) rings together that were not MADE to fit each other. I would always put some sort of spacer band in between. Hope this helps.

I put the anniversary band on first then the wedding band and then the e-ring.

One of the reasons I do the wedding, ering, anniv. is that the anniv. band acts as a guard band. The anniv band is tighter and flush.
