I''d like to send a gift basket to a couple (who I''ve never met) that has been helping us deal with some issues with a rental/vacation property. I know Harry and David is a popular company to order from, but I am an indecisive type and like lots of options to choose from. Of course, googling gift baskets produces tons of companies I know nothing about.

So, does anyone have a good local company that they order from? The type of company that uses fresh, high quality goods in their baskets and can ship nationwide?

Thanks!

If you are a Costco member they do them (or have a service that does) they''re gorgeous. But other than that I''ve only received H&D baskets, but they are such nice quality.

Not a Costco member, but perhaps I should become one. I see they have tons of gift baskets, including Harry and David. I''m also a huge fan of Costco''s doggie beds! We have five of them, but I always pay the premium for being a non-member, so maybe it''s time to sign up . . . .

Thanks for the idea!

Hehe it''s funny you mentioned the dog beds! We just bought another one for one of our dogs last night to replace an old (non-costco) bed and he''s been on it ever since. He got so excited when we brought it home!

They are such high quality for the price!! I actually need to get some new ones because the little angel in my avatar has taken to tearing them apart (which is not easy to do!) but she has such persistence. We''re working on training her now to distinguish what are and what are not appropriate toys.

We get these: Costco Dog Beds

The greyhounds especially love them because their long backs curl up against the bolster so nicely!

My favorite to give (and especially receive) is Dean & Deluca.

I have also ordered several times from Wine Country Gift Baskets, as well as iGourmet.com. Both have many options.

I bought from Wine Country Gift Baskets too.

Also, you can order from Costco online and not be a member but you are charged a little extra, I noticed that the other day when I was looking at something on their website.

Yes! And, the little extra is not that much, considering if I did have a membership, I''d be spending so much money in the store because of the potential savings!!!

Thanks for the advice, Ladies, I will check them all out. Love my options!!

I have been very happy ordering from Vans Gifts - www.vansgifts.com

They are very reasonable and fast!

Harry and David. Every kind of gift basket or tower that you could imagine. From baked goods to fruits. They''re wonderful!

Most of Costco''s baskets are actually from Wine County Gift Baskets, so check both places for the best deal.

Everyone I know loves edible arrangements. I''ve had their fruit before and it''s really good especially the chocolate covered.

I second H&D. Their pears are sooo tasty. Or also I enjoy making the basket up for the person getting fun stuff from different places like Trader Joe''s etc. I also like Penzeys gift packs. They are wonderful.

Its not really a gift basket, but DH and I have given great popcorn tins from Popcorn Palace. They have some amazing flavored popcorn, things like turtle, jalepeno, etc.

i''ve used www.baskits.com a bunch of times and have always had a great experience with them!
