You could also call up one of the PS vendors and see what they could create for you in a 1.5/1.8mm thickness. You'd want to be certain that at that thinness, the workmanship will be quality and hold the pave in place.

Have you worked with anyone else before?

I have seen a recent Steven Kirsch one that was super skinny and looked amazing in person!
