Where can I get this setting (or one very similar)?

LOVE this ring setting, how it incorporates the round diamond, but the halo is softly rounded, more like a cushion shape. Are there any online vendors who sell or can make a very similar ring setting for my 1.76 carat round? Thanks. Since I refuse to send my diamond out of the country, the setting would have to be available as an empty mount, and then my jeweler could set the diamond into it, once I receive it. Thanks

that's a jack kelege you posted right? i don't think any of the PS vendors carry the line and he is

but they would make your setting and send it to you, although I will say, dee jay went that route with a super expensive setting and the local jeweler messed it up. you can read about it in her thread. so just be aware that if someone is making your setting without your stone you run a much higher risk of it not being set correctly.

Yeah, you''ll probably want to find something similar as Jack Kelege settings run in the neighborhood of $10,000 without the center stone.

Thanks for your help ladies, and WOW..$10 000 for an empty setting..my diamond cost that much! Well...I might try a local vendor to see if he thinks he can create something similar. I guess he can do the wax, and give me a quote before I proceed. I was thinking bout $2400 max, a far cry from $10 000!!

Leon mege would also do a fabulous job in making a halo similar to this one. He would probably be more than double 2400, but a lot less than 10k I would think. Here is his website: artofplatinum.com

And quite possibly more than 2,400 from ERD or WF or Quest... depending on diamond weight and metal used.

she said in her original post she refuses to send it to the US for setting, so she's going to have to find someone who will make it without the stone and send it canada. I know Leon won't make a setting w/out the stone, not sure about the some of the others..

A plain platinum good quality setting can cost $1200-1500, so a good quality pave setting will definitely cost more than $2400. I''d worry if I got a quote that low for a setting like the Kelege setting.

Your best bet will be to find a ready-made setting that is similar. Those usually will cost less than custom. Many designers have halo settings.

Thanks diamondseeker, I don''t like platinum at all..I was thinking white gold, and no diamonds on the shank really, or maybe a couple on each side, but no diamonds on the underpart (gallery), mostly just VERY small diamonds (2 pointers) on the halo part. I did find a vendor who has one in gold, for well under budget (very reputable online, many have his rings). Thanks.
