Where can I buy an inexp. loupe??????

Since I have begun my online search for a diamond, I think I need to have my own loupe. I want to check each diamond before I send it on to an independent appraiser. Is there any place online that I can purchase on inexpensively and soon???? I seem to remember an ad for a loupe for something like $50.

If I don''t like what I see, I will return it before wasting $$$on an appraisal. Thanks for your assistance. Regards,

dave atlas & co. sells ideal scopes, loupes, and diamond tweezers for a very reasonable price. i think the whole ball of wax for like $50.00

Check the yellow pages for "jewelry supplies" or "jewelers supplies." I bought a 10x triplet loupe for $13 at a jewelery supply shop in one of the jewelry buildings downtown, and I did not have to wait for shipping.

I got mine at Harbor Freight (A cheap tool store) Mine is the typical swing away cover varity but I couldn't find one just like it on their website. Here's what I found http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=47106 for $14.99

I uasually don't buy from them unless it's on sale. They put their mechandise on sale for 1/2 off on a rotational basis. This loupe could be $7.49 next week. regards
