Read somewhere that at least 92% of world's diamonds are cut in India. Wondered if the lab grown, man-made and CZs are cut there as well ?

Mine were cut in Antwerp.

I think that stat refers to smaller diamonds, melee sized. Larger and higher quality diamonds are typically cut in Belgium, Amsterdam and Israel.

What about .15-.25 ct? If cut in India, do they provide certificates?

Unless it's a really high value diamond (like a natural, mined fancy coloured diamond), most stones under 0.3 carats (a third of a carat) aren't lab certified.

Are you wondering where to buy one (and how to know if it's genuine)? Or do you already have one and wonder about the quality?

You always have the option of sending something to a lab to be certified. Some PS people will negotiate with a vendor for a longer return period so they have it independently appraised.

Happy to help in any way.

Good luck!

Most are cut in India by the same companies that are cutting mined stones. CZ's are a bit different. They're a LOT easier to cut and the whole process is done by robots. That's done all over the place but the US is actually a major player here.

They're cut everywhere mined diamonds are cut. India, Canada, USA, China, Belgium and probably southern Africa.
