I''m vertical and you''ve got it right! I do the top vertical line and the round part and then I finish it off with the horizontal line up top.

On paper I do size numbers the same as my lower case letters, too, just a strange habit I picked up somewhere:


"My number is 123-456-7890" instead of "My number is 123-456-7890"



just in case someone somewhere needed to know my writing habits
