Jim emailed me today to tell me my ring was finished. I pressed upon him to take a couple of pictures to tide me over while I wait for the USPonyExpress to get it to my door.
It is a natural blue sapphire from Ceylon, 21 carats, in James Meyer design 1373, made in 18k yellow gold, with 22k bezel. There are two 4 point omc diamonds on the side.
These pictures are in diffused light. When I get it, I'll get some good pictures with the star.
It looks so huge on the screen!! I know by experience though, that Jim''s pieces are so much more delicate on the hand. I can''t wait to get it in perspective.... and to light up that star!!!
Here''s a pic of the stone on my hand in the sunlight.
OMG I''m such a nerd Uppy! I saw the title from the main screen and I thought ohh what a beautiful title for a thread, clicked in here and saw it was YOU and I did a weird little hop in my seat and squealed and covered my mouth and got all teary. I''m a freak I know, but I can''t help but be excited for you-and wow oh wow is that going to look amazing!
It''s gorgeous, Uppy-Even prettier than I imagined it would be! Wear it with health and joy! Thank you for the photos-I''ve been eagerly awaiting this ring!!!
W! The workmanship on the ring is absolutely amazing! It looks like a piece of art and soon it will be all yours. I bet you can''t wait for the mail to arrive! I''ll be back for more photos!
And, like, zhuzhu, I am curious about your band too? More details please.
Thanks for all the compliiments. Now I just have to wait for the postal service to do its job.
And thanks for the compliments on the band. As was guessed, it''s a piece by Jewels by Erica Grace. It is matte yellow gold and bezels rose cut cornflower blue sapphires alternating with white diamonds. I love the uniqueness as much as the beauty of the piece! I think you really have to get a piece like it moving around on your hand to truly appreciate this type of cut.
