Doc thinks I have some under skin bleeding from an impact and the blood thinners.
basically a huge and deep bruise. (3/4 of the back of my calf)
There is what feels like a clot to me but he thinks it is the one that stopped the bleed.
So while painful it isn''t dangerous.
The treatment is the same either way so not worth spending a fortune on tests.
He gave me some pain meds and said take it easy on it. elevate it, and apply heat and monitor it.

OK...now we know...but, still rest, rest, rest!!!!

yesterday was pretty good until late afternoon, a friend picked me up and we went out to lunch. (I don''t drive on pain meds)
Towards late afternoon it started hurting pretty bad.
The swelling is down towards the top of the calf but up lower.
Think I need to elevate it more but having it resting on anything isn''t very pleasant.

Glad you were able to get out for lunch, but I''m sorry you were in bad pain again! Is there a special pillow that you can use?

Bit of a rough day today it feels like there is a vice around my lower leg because the skin is pulled tight from the swelling.
The upper part of my leg looks a bit better.

Lori I cant help you with that with in the rules but it is very sweet that you want to send something :}

My adopted "niece" (no actual relation but I taught her to drive and she comes to me with her problems and she is closer than my real nieces) is home from Army basic training and went over to see her and was on my feet for a couple hours, am in agony tonight, hope the pain meds kick in soon.

I am glad you got to see her. Please keep your foot up tonight. I think seeing the regular Doc might be best.. If you need anything call your brother or sister... But stay put with that foot elevated. HUGS, and of course more prayers outgoing. I am going to be out tonight but will check with ya later...

Karl if it gets worse don't wait - get an appointment ASAP, you shouldn't have to be in this much pain. What pain meds are you on?
