When buying a setting, do people accept the diamonds as is, or hand pick them?

This is part 2 to my melee question earlier. When people buy the settings with side diamonds, how many of you are given the chance to select your own. Do designers let you do this?

Not really; but, I suspect some will let you substitute though. If you get a custom setting, you have more flexibility.
