I''m sure there is a post here somewhere.......couldn''t find it.

I was thinking a basic jewellery wardrobe is ...

1. E-ring
2. studs
3. pendant

Should I be including a tennis bracelet with that?

Does a watch count? I feel naked without mine.

For me, all of the above except that I only wear the pendant or pearl necklace on special occasions (I feel a bit "restricted" wearing anything round my neck on a daily basis) and tennis bracelet (had one but gave it to my Mom and not sure that I''d want one anymore - a bit too much if you''re already wearing e-ring, diamond studs and diamond RHR, but that''s just me! ).

That''s " basic" wardrobe! Anything else would just be "luxury" , he he!

Ha...speaking of watches. Hubby is a watch nut so I he has given me a few. I can go out without a watch and sometimes discover I have the wrong date and time on it. I badly need a watch winder. I find it very annoying to have to wind a watch!

I wish I new how to take pictures and upload from my sd card I would post some pictures of them.

I''m thinking the basic three would be the e-ring, pendant and studs.

But if your a social girl ... wot about dinner/ function jewellery. Does it ever end?

Hmmm.

ering and (if married) wedding band or anniversary/eternity band. The bands can be worn alone or with E-ring.
Diamond Studs
A pair of simple reversable yellow gold/white gold huggies.
A couple of nice chains to switch around.
Pearl Studs
Peal Pendant
Pearl necklace.
A couple of colored stone pieces... earrings or rings or pendants.
A couple of bangles.
A nice watch.

I also have a WG/YG pendant that I wear fairly often... I consider it a 'must have' for me.

For a man I'd say one nice ring is all he needs, if he has two then only wear one at a time.
A nice watch.

Optional, neither of which I have:
A bracelet, not worn if wearing a watch.
One stud

I think you have a DIAMOND wardrobe there ;-)

I wear my studs, watch, bracelets, wedding ring every day and "need" a pendant LOL

Hi Kenny - missed you!

I think a basic jewelry wardrobe should include pieces you love and love to wear.

Does that include an e-ring? Not necessarily. I have girlfriends who have wedding bands only, and others who are single and married to their careers. Nothing wrong with that.

Does that include studs? Not necessarily. If you can't afford nice diamond studs, does that mean you go out and buy lesser quality ones, just to have them? No. This similarly holds true for a pendant and tennis bracelets.

I'm a firm believer in buying fewer quality pieces that really speak to you. I wore either silver or nice costume jewelry for a while until I could afford the real thing. The first important pieces I bought were a substantial designer necklace and bracelet set made of 18K Italian gold. The design of the set is striking and gorgeous - I get a ton of compliments.

For me, my basic jewelry wardrobe is e-ring, w-ring, diamond studs, diamond pendant, tennis bracelet, and a Rolex watch with diamonds. I wear those things when we go out. To be honest, I can''t even think of wanting any more jewelry. I think I am done with jewelry except maybe upgrading my e-ring someday. I don''t like pearls, so I wouldn''t have them as my daily wardrobe. (I can''t let my husband see this post, or he''ll be jumping for joy!)

I think a basic jewelry wardrobe starts with one piece, usually a ring and then you build up from there, one piece at a time . I think once you've adorned your hands, neck and ears, that would complete the "basics". Anything after that I think is extra and therefore wouldn't consider that basic.

This is my basic jewelry. I wear it all everyday, nothing is sitting in my jewelry box.

1. Wedding Ring
2. RHR
3. Bracelet
4. Pendant
5. Earrings.
6. Watch

My basic wardrobe: (and I LOVE variety...)

1) Diamond ring
2) Casual silver or gold ring
3) Diamond necklace
4) Silver or gold and tiny diamond necklace for casual wear
5) Diamond and Platinum earrings for going out (LOVE THEM even casually!)
6) sometimes a watch
7) Always pearls with matching earrings (different lengths, colors and widths for different occassions)
8) Bracelets I rarely wear, and usually gemstone set or even cheaper, because I have an issue with things on my wrists. I have lost 3 watches because i ALWAYS take them off, without even realizing it.
9) Brooches, but only in the spring and summer evenings to clasp a wrap or scarf really.

I really like to be able to *see* my jewelry, so at the moment I haven't gone beyond expensive rings for nice jewelry. However, I do own some very nice qaulity fake pearls that I definitely think are a staple. They are just so darn elegant. I'd love to have diamond studs. In an ideal world with more money...here's what I'd like to have in my everyday jewelry wardrobe:
1) An upgraded e-ring with a leon setting
2) I love either an eternity band or a nice five-stone ring for the other hand---(already have this one, yay!)
3) maybe a few RHR's that are colored stone pieces to switch up with colorful outfits.
a) A sapphire center stone emerald cut with baguette sides
b) Something green whether it's demantoid, tsavorite, tourmaline, or emerald
c) something red or yellow for fall outfits.---(already have this one as well!)
4) a diamond pendant
5) a strand of pearls
5) a couple of colored stone pendants to go with the rings above
5) a pair of decent sized diamond studs .4-.6
6) a pair of large drop pearl earrings
7) a couple of pairs of colored stone earrings
8) maybe a single pair of fun dangly or chandelier earrings to go with a glamorous outfit.

Watch Check
Diamond studs Check
Diamond hoops Check
Tennis bracelet Check
Large Pearl choker Check
Small Pearl necklace Check

still need a RHR

all my other blingy stuff is just fun to have, but the

Cehra Like these.... One side WG (and diamonds if you like)... the otherside YG (and diamonds if you like).
The pair I want have etole like diamonds set into them. One side yellow, one side white.

http://www.skeies.com/store/products/detail/breuning-brushed-finish-reversible-huggy.html
so... do you put them in your ear backwards then if you want the other side? Or is there a base and the rest kinda hangs on it or clips on or something??? cool idea - I like reversable... my ring will be reversable LOL I still am kinda bummed KCour didn''t do the half sapph half diamond eternity lol
