I''ll let you know when I know... I''m still working at it, its been five years, and three upgrades and four resets... oh goodness, it seems to change every year

Luckily for me my dream ring is on my finger. I wouldn''t change it for anything as I love it just as it is

Lucky you! Your ring is beautiful!

My current idea ring (subject to change based on what I actually get, which I''m sure will be my favorite no matter what!) is:

0.7+ carat round brilliant center stone

F-H clarity

VVS1-VS2 inclusions

Medium to Strong Blue Florescence

Set by James Allen in his platinum setting having trillion cut sapphire or emerald sidestones. SO PRETTY!!!

Here''s what it looks like...

One of my friends has a ring similar to that and it looks amazing on her!

So hard to choose! But DREAM ring as in not a reality right now would be a 3 carat round brilliant in either a Leon Mege setting with pave halo (possibly in rose gold) and a split shank (in platinum) or the Michael Barin double halo round brilliant pictured below... :)

DROOL!

My dream ring (which I''m almost 100% sure is what the boyfriend is going to get) is a design by Scott Kay.

I would like 1 carat or just a bit over but anything just under would be cool too.

As long as the stone is eye-clean then i''d be happy. I just want it to sparkle all the time :)

I''m with you on the sparkliness. It has to shine!

I''m actually helping a client design a ring with the elements of MY dream ring...well, it pretty much IS my dream ring! He wasn''t sure how to put together the look he was going for, and his lady is more dresses and lace vs. jeans and t-shirts, so he wanted something very romantic and different from what everyone else has. He told me to put a ring together using all the elements I would want in my own ring(euro shank to prevent spin, hand engraving, two carat round center, halo, bead set sides, lots of milgrain, lots of diamonds, yellow gold filagree in the gallery, etc.). The only things he told me I had to include were a nod to ''a square peg in a round hole,'' (So, I came up with a square halo for a round stone), and there had to be a specific heart design in the gallery that almost looks like angel''s wings. I can''t post the cad since I don''t know if his gal is a member on PS.

I can tell you I am INSANELY envious of his girl''s ring!!! That''s the one bad thing about my job...I never get to see the pieces in person since Wink is in Boise and I''m in NJ. To make it worse, someone else is going to have my dream ring that I designed.

I would love to get to see that piece for just ten minutes.

But you could still have that ring one day! Use your work as inspiration!

This ring belongs to PSer JadeLeaves. It was done by Mark Morrell, and my dream ring will probably be based on this design.

I just want a classic Tiffany setting. My fingers are a little bigger, size 6.75 or 7, so ideally something around 2 carats would be awesome!!

I am head over heels in love with the classic Tiffany setting!

I''ve been away from this forum b/c of work overload, but my dream ring:

RB

~Cut: I''m not married to H&A, but I want something that''s AGS 0, or juuuuuust outside of it. Prefer a ~61.5% depth

~Clarity: Eye clean -- ideally, VS1 or VS2, but not ruling out SI1 or SI2

~Carat: Ideal is 1.5. Realistic ideal is 1.0-1.1. A shallower 0.95 with great light return that faces up like a 1 is cool, too.

~Color: Negotiable. An AGS/GIA-graded J would be A-OK. LOL

Setting (I can''t figure out how to upload pics into the Gallery, so forgive the two posts):

SO and I are going to look at the Vatche Swan next Sat (9/5 b/c we''re out of town this weekend)!!!

Thanks! It looks like we have similar tastes in diamonds!

The MaeVona Westray is my all-time fave solitaire setting, but at $1650 for all WG?? No. We don''t have the $$$$ and I''m not compromising on the stone.

But ... sigh

Yeah, I told me bf to spend the $$$ on the diamond!

My dream ring is...

Ideal Cut RB diamond

Around 0.75ct (ring size is 3)

I/J colour... agree with SparklyRing, as long as it looks white!

Not bothered about clarity as long as its eye- clean

In a platinum solitaire setting either by Mark Morrell, Leon Mege or the Vatche Swan... It''s sooo hard to decide

Another user with small fingers! I don''t know anyone in real life with fingers smaller than a size 4!!

Wolftress has a lotus halo in the works, and I may need to steal that design when I see it! I have a pad lotus ring, but I wouldn''t mind resetting my Ering diamond into a cushier home.

Here''s the Ering currently (recently parted with the band though, I prefer my mokume one)

Woooow, that''s gorgeous!

Here is what my dream ring would look like, except it would come from a less expensive jeweler.

Thanks. It''s actually a pad sapphire, but the color didn''t turn out nicely in this picture.
