I''m thinking of taking a day off from work to go check it out!

Has anyone attended one of these shows before? Can I expect to find good buys?

In general, I''d say good for testing idealscope (and such) skills, and for incidental browsing, but not for a serious investment.

What I''m in the market for is a great little skinny band for a right hand ring and stacking. Something dainty. I don''t want to spend over a couple hundred. Do you think I could find something like that?

I''ve actually been invoved in exhibiting at the International when they come to Colorado. The show facility is right next door to my building. I mostly agree with Ira that it''s not the place to spend serious money but it can be a fun way to spend an afternoon. I would even leave the Idealscope at home because you''re not likely to find anything that does well with it ... it''s just not the right place to sell that kind of goods and even the dealers who have them left them at home. You''ll find lots of Chinese and Thai manufacturers of flashy and not so flashy things for reasonably attractive prices. It shouldn''t be a problem to find someone who will be happy to sell you a band there but for quality merchandise you''ll do better at your local independent jeweler or with one of the folks who advertises here.
