What''s the difference between AIG and GIA Appraisals

I have jewelry that has AIG appraisal form; but I see alot of people with GIA appraisals. Is one better than the other?

Are you sure you are talking about GIA appraisal not GIA grading report (sometimes called certificate)?

there is an AIG lab that does a lot of large, mass appraisal work. They are not to be confused with the GIA. I have not heard any terrible news about AIG.
