What would you do with 2 concave cut blue topaz...about 6mm each?

In my quest to find stones to match my blue zircon pendant I ran across some fabulous concave cut blue topaz stones. I had them sent to me to see if they would be close enough to match my pendant. They are not but the stones are still really beautiful. I''m trying to decide I should keep them anyway and do something else with them or return them?

I know I could set them in a standard stud type earring, but I was thinking of some sort of drop earrings...maybe even an earring jacket to attach to my diamond studs? Does anyone have any creative ideas?

how about something like the diamonds by the yard drops as earring jackets / extenders? You could go bezel set or have them prong set to match your studs. I''m sure WF could create them for you!

I really like what Art Nouveau did with her tourmalines and if I had a nice pair of stones I would consider doing something similar.

I''d love to do something like diamonds by the yard earring jackets, but I''m not sure that would work since I only have 2 blue topaz stones. My studs are martini set and about .8 tcw.

I love what Art Nouveau did with her tourmeline''s, but that much pave work is out of my budget. I''d need to do something simpler.

What about something like this only done as a earring jacket to hook onto my studs? These are costume jewlery but the general idea? Could I just connect the dangle stone to the studs with a series of rings or would that look bad? How much of a drop would look good?

yummy pretty stones.
id put them in simple basket settings or bezel with about 1/4"-1/2" chain drop and a jacket for your studs.
