What type of chain is this?

This is a 14k gold chain my mother was gifted by my dad in the 70s. I have tried googling and cannot find the name of this chain style.
It reflects light so beautifully in motion.
The clasp needs a repair and its gotten some tiny marks of wear, but I am afraid of having it repaired or touched up.
I don't know much about jewellery, I'm more of a gemstone guy, so, sorry if this answer obvious

It looks to be a twisted serpentine from a quick Google search.

I have a similar one that I thought was called a "sparkle chain". But @YadaYadaYada is probably right.
