What to pair with Victorian belcher setting?

Hi, all! I have this super lovely Victorian engagement ring, and I'm having a little trouble imagining a wedding ring to pair with it. I could play it safe and just get a plain gold band, but I was wondering if anyone here had a more creative solution? I have bookmarked several gold bands with designs carved into them, but they're all mid-century and just don't quite match the style. No matter what, a straight band won't sit flush. I'm pretty sure I'm okay with that, as I really don't prefer a contoured band. Photos of my ring below for reference. Thanks in advance for any help!

It's beautiful!
I think I would wear this one on it's own. I wouldn't want a band rubbing against the beautiful profile

What a beautiful ring
Congradulations

I wonder what the original bride wore with it ?

I've considered this, as well...

My gut says she wore it alone, but I'll never know, as it's not a family heirloom. It's fun to think about, though!

very pretty. I’d consider getting David Klass to make you a contoured band to match, he can copy the engraved pattern onto the new band.

This was my first instinct! I think it's likely the best option. There's a Victorian ring style (don't know the official term for it) that I wonder if DK would be able to replicate but also adapt to sit as low as the e-ring. I love citrine and think they would look lovely nestled in yellow gold with the same engraved pattern going down the sides of the band. Example below!

Obviously, I'm thinking the stones need to be much smaller, so it would work, but I guess I'd leave that up to the professional! If it wouldn't quite work, I still very much like the idea of just having DK replicate the engraving sans stones.

What a pretty ring, & congrats on your engagement/wedding!! I like @Bron357 's idea of getting a band made to compliment the ring...love your ring!

Here’s some options that I found in the wild, and a couple quick mockups.

I think if you’d ever plan on wearing the wedding band alone for more active days, that might turn you away from a curved band?
The smaller version of the band with stones you pictured is a good option too.
Many choices!

Incredible mock-ups, wow! Thank you, this really helps visualize potential options.

Beautiful ring, loving the scrollwork on the setting.

Just wanted to mention that also consider that curved bands shift, I had one and the shifting drove me crazy although I do like those mock ups above. I'd probably get an antique engraved straight band to pair with this ring. That way you don't have to worry about the band shifting and not looking perfect and you can wear it on its own.

I wished to show a twist/rope version of this www

That’s beautiful!! I’ve seen something similar someone wore a thin 1.5mm gold band with it and it looked great and didn’t take away from the ring it’s self.

I'm considering giving a thin, plain gold band a shot to see if I like it!
