what sort of inclusion is this?

My mother has a heirloom ring and we noticed a strange inclusion in the gemstone. It's visible if you use very bright LED's to lighten it, when you wear it it's not soo visable at all.

Can somebody teach me more about this inclusion? It's like a white spot and it has a small tail; IMG_0447.JPG IMG_0450.JPG

It looks like a cloud or feather inclusion, but without knowing what the gem is, or better pictures, no one can say definitively.

Thank you for your reply; It's a ceylon sapphire. IMG_0436.JPG

Well that’s a much better picture!! Nice stone!

It’s probably a feather, but a gemologist would know for sure.
