What size melee for a Memoire semi-eternity wedding band?

I''ve pretty much made up my mind that I''ll be switching my diamond into the MWM YG/Platinum Torchiere setting. Now I need a wedding band!

My e-ring is about 2.5 mm and I would like to keep my wedding band about the same width. I e-mailed Bill Pearlman for a price quote on a Memoire semi-eternity w-band. I have not tried them on yet, but reading from other''s experience and the pics I''ve seen, I''m in love!

My question comes to what size diamonds should I get for the melee? Would 5 pointers be too big? Here''s my thread with my e-ring for reference:

I don''t want to overshadow my center stone, so I''m debating between 3 and 5 pointers.

Any input is greatly appreciated!

I think 3 or 5 pointers would be perfect. here''s a pic of my 1 carat stone with a band of 3 pointers..

I have a Memoire band with 10-11 point stones. I would not go under 5-6 pointers with your ring. Mine is 3mm, so the 5-6 point stones will be close to 2.5mm, I think. That size band is nice to wear alone and stacked with other bands, too.

What? Your ring looks so much bigger than mine! Is that DSS I''ve heard so much about?
It''s so weird when I see my friends ring who may be smaller than mine but look bigger than what I see when I look at mine!
oddly enough, if I''m looking in the mirror for something and catch a glimpse of it, I say "Oh...that looks nice!!"

DiamondSeeker- thanks for that info. It seems a 5 pointer would put me at 2.5 mm which is where I want to be!
I would like a nice size band to wear just in the case I wear it alone. I really should go to BBB and try some of theirs on!
