What size eternity with my EC?

Hi all!

Just wanting some opinions here....I'm thinking about a more substantial eternity band to wear with my 2 ct EC. Right now, I wear 2 thin pave bands stacked (see my avatar pic) ....but I'm into a different look these days...

A few months ago I reset my EC into a traditional tapered bag setting ( from the plain solitaire). I know, I still need to post pics! But, I would love to get an eternity band with rb's to wear with it. I want something substantial and more blingy, but delicate at the same time so that it doesn't overshadow my understated EC.

So, my question is, what size stones would you go with? My initial thought was 5 or 7 pointers. Thought/ opinions? Thanks! :))

I'd go with 7...honestly, if you compare a 5pt and a 7pt right next to one another (and I have), the difference is miniscule!

Thanks Yenny!
Would you go larger or do you think 7 pointers would be a perfect size?

I think you have to go and try different sizes on and see what you like best. Personally, I'd probably go with 10 pointers....I think a 2ct emerald can handle that with no problem.

I'd agree with Yenny - go 10 pointers! Your ring can take it at that size.

Are you firm on the RB's for the eternity band?? I know it's not the same, but I have a 3 stone princess band ( <-see avatar<-) and as much as I do adore my 1/2 eternity, I find the difference in shapes between the hard edges of a PR and the softness and sparkle of a RB, a bit disconcerting sometimes. My band is 8 x .12's, if that helps.

Would you consider an EC or asscher band instead? Having worn this for about 9months, I sometimes think I should have gone with a square band, not the RB... *sigh*... but I really LOVE my band. Just throwing that out there to think about :))

Hi Dani:

I have an EC and I went from two narrow french cut bands to a much thicker band of carre/sq cuts. I would focus on the overall width of the band you want and find aesthetically pleasing and then see what size stones fits in that width.

OH MY GOSH!!!!! STUNNING! I adore the e-ring and the band!   :appl: :appl: :appl:

Is the e-ring setting an antique or did you have it made? It is just outstanding!

Dani, I second carre cuts, baguettes, or maybe even french cuts. But I am not wild about a round band with an emerald cut e-ring.

Yes! Any of these in a thin and delicate channel setting would be amazig.
