Hi,
Trying to decide between two round diamond shared prong wedding bands:

The first is .06 pointers 2.7 mm wide
The second is .08 pointers 3.2 mm wide

My e-ring is 2.7 mm wide. Should I get the first band that matches my e-ring width exactly or the second, which is slightly wider? It seems that 2.7 vs 3.2 is so close, but I've noticed that when it comes to diamonds & e-rings a fraction of a mm can make a big difference. Also, my e-ring is round 1.85 carats, any thoughts on the size of the above pointers? My goal is to not take away from my diamond, to enhance it & to help make it "pop". Should I go with even smaller pointers (.02, .03, or .04?) to acheive this? Thoughts & opinions are greatly appreciated!

I personally like the bands to be the same size or the wedding band slightly smaller.

Id go with the one the same size as your current band because I like when the solitaire stone "overhangs" the band a little.

I like them to match.

Sames size all the way!

I like the wedding band the same size or a teensy bit smaller!

I agree go with the band that is the same size as your ering. It will match nicely and not take away from your ering. I bet it will make your stone pop!!! Please post a pic when you get it!!!!

Have you tried them on? Which do you like better? If you''re ordering without seeing them, I''d choose the same width band too.

I have the same width and I like it..

To me that same width is what looks most like it was intended. If you are buying it without trying it on the that is the way I would go. However you could alwasy order both adn then return the one that does not work for you.

I just got back from the mall & went to several B&M''s, including Tiffany to look at the diamond wedding bands. For some reason, my e-ring looks the best with .10-.13 pointer diamonds in the wedding band. I couldn''t understand why, then I kept looking at my hands & taking the different sizes on & off & comparing & I think it might be because I have long fingers & larger diamonds in the wedding band makes my hand look more proportionate. I was afraid that the wider band would overwhelm my stone but luckily my stone is almost 2 carats & did not, in fact it made it more eye-catching. and. Also, my e-ring doesn''t sit flush with the band, creating a tiny space, a gap. I used to hate gaps but now I think they kind of work on me! I tried on .05 - .08 & none looked as good as the .10-.13 pointers. I was shocked & a little perturbed because now I have to spend more money!

I''m glad you found what worked best. You would have hated to spend a lot of $$ to be disappointed.
