If you were designing a three stone ring with a marquise center, what shape and color would you use for the side stones?

Thanks for your input...and any pics you have would be great!!

Oh, the possibilities! Trillions, baguettes, tapered baguettes, shield cuts, bullets, traps...it depends on what look you''re going for.

Trillions! I''ve seen a few marquise centers with trillion sides and they look fab.

Melissa, the ring I have now was custom made in platinum about 12 years ago...it has rounds, baguettes and the center marquise. I guess I am just wanting to get back to something a little more simple. If that makes sense.

Trillions or little marquise.

I would like to cast my vote for trillions as well.

ditto on all of these...

I''d go with trillions or pears (points out), or with smaller marquise (oriented same was as the centre stone).

If the stone is oriented N-S, tapered baguettes are my first choice, a la the attached.

The most beautiful marquise setting I EVER saw had Trillions. so that would be my vote.

Trillions would be my vote too!

You know, if you''re looking for something simple but still with some bling, what about a pave cathedral? It would show of the marquise, and still have some side interest.

I would do half moons and then a tapered baguette on the outside of the half moons. Somehow that is what popped into my head the moment I read your post. I also like the idea of trill side stones.
