I’m thinking so too. Tbh, I used to pass up retro pieces thinking that they were not too far removed from the present....lol...Yesterday I realized that this ring could be 70 to 80 years old!

I'd say it is 1940's-50's. The swooping details and the spray of stones on the side are my clues.
I can't tell from your photos, but if the shank has cross hatched brushwork, then I say 50's for sure.
It's really beautiful!

Personally I would wear it how you have it in the lower down photo, with the rounded swoopy end towards your middle finger & the spray towards your little finger. I am drooling
